New Beginnings!

I have been dying to post some thoughts in blog-form since a week ago when the most amazing man in the world told me he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. Unfortunately, he did so one week and one day before the due date of this massive history term paper for this really hard marking professor. Therefore, blogging was put on hold. However, with the essay passed in last night at midnight via e-mail – I am ready to jump into engagement fun and wedding plans head first! I’m hoping to stay dedicated to keeping track of all the fun in writing!

So, with a week already passed, I have so many things I could write about. I think I’ll just do some point form wedding updates today, since the thought of writing in essay-style still makes me dizzy. I will be writing lots in the future: the proposal story, the way my heart has been soaring, crazy wedding planning stories etc

Here's what's going on so far:

• JUNE 12th!!!!! So fast and soooo exciting!!! Summertime is my favourite – and being married to my favourite man will make it all the better!
• I was given a dress about 2 years ago by a former boss (long story – she’s great!). I had my first fitting and it is everything I could have ever dreamed of. I feel spoiled! Aaron is continually trying to sneak details out of me!
• Making a guest list has to be the most unfun part of planning a wedding.
  There are just too many people that we would love to have there
  And there are just too many people inviting themselves who may not have made the final cuts! (This isn’t supposed to guilt-trip; it’s just a reminder that inviting oneself to a wedding is just, well, awkward –weddings are expensive and including and excluding people from your day is ALREADY strenuous enough for a bride and groom).
• We have asked 4 bridesmaids and 4 groomsmen and they’ve all agreed to be part of the wedding party. We also have our ‘officiant’. The inclusion of children in the wedding party is yet to come!
• TODAY! we are going to look at our first venue. For now it is a secret. :)
