Psalm 91

Psalm 91
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."

Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare
and from the deadly pestilence.

He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,

nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.

A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.

You will only observe with your eyes

If you make the Most High your dwelling—
even the LORD, who is my refuge-

then no harm will befall you,
no disaster will come near your tent.

For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;

they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

"Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.

With long life will I satisfy him
and show him my salvation."

Aaron and I are facing some very very intense circumstances right now. If you think of us, please pray...

Just to keep things clear, the things we're facing are outside, external things... as a couple we are fully united and excited (ECSTATIC!) to be getting married!!!

Thanks for your love, support and prayers

1 month!

Two days ago was May 12th... one month away. Tomorrow is the 4th last Saturday before the wedding. OH MY GOOOOODNESS!

Aaron asked me last night why I haven't been blogging and I was like "well you know, I have been just a LITTLE bit busy!" haha. He's so cute though. I never knew how much he liked my posts!

So last night, I had my hair trial run. It went so well!!! It was everything I could have hoped for. In fact, right before I left for the appointment, I was looking on the interenet to find this particular picture of Carrie Underwood but I couldn't find it. So once my hairdresser and I had talked and she had an idea of what I wanted, she did my hair. After I told her it was exactly what I was looking for, she pulled out a picture of what she had been referencing - and it was Carrie Underwood with the hairstyle I wanted!!! Ridiculous. lol I have someone watching over the details I think ;)

So I went home and tried on the hair, dress, jewelery and shoes and I am absolutely ESTATIC!!! Everything part of the outfit looks just like I had pictured - actually, even better. I felt like I could go off and have the wedding last night!!! eeek!

So lots has been getting done! So far the most stressful part of the whole process has been to get the right flowergirl dresses (seriously!). It's been hard to coordinate with 4 flower girls! haha But that's overwith so thank heavens!

I'm off to an appointment with my photographer tonight! :)

Home

I'm starting to transition between what I call home now. I keep saying things like "Aaron's house" and get corrected by people: 'you mean your house'. I'm not living in it yet but in 6 weeks it will be my home!

In all honesty, I'm a little bit sentimental about leaving my parents' home. I've been living here for about 12 years and so there's a lot of memories built into the walls. This morning, I went for a walk around the block that I've been walking for years and realized that in a few weeks I'll have to find a new walk to walk uptown. I'll be living in the city, too, for the first time since I was four!!

Don't get me wrong, I am ecstatic to start a new life with Aaron. It's going to be amazing to wake up beside him every morning and have our own home together. In fact, I get more and more excited as we add on to the renovations to our new kitchen and add the doors that separate the two apartments etc. Yesterday I could actually picture a kitchen (despite the fact that we don't yet have the countertop or sink installed haha). It's coming along so nicely!

And as a side note, thanks to the MANY people who have helped us (especially Aaron... I just clean mostly) with this process. It's been a major, major job and he (we) couldn't have done it without the people who have blessed us with labour, tools etc.

Many many changes are in the air and the time is drawing closer!
